Back to school

We Bags are packed, pencils sharpened, and – to be honest – we’re so ready for a bit of routine! Celebrate the start of the new term tonight (4 September) at The Gothic Crab with their ‘Back to School’ special, or head to terre à terre, where kids eat free every day (except Saturday evenings). It’s time to find your new family happy place!

A taste of Autumn

Whether you’ve been waiting for the pumpkin-spiced hot chocolate at Knoops or the new tasting menu at etch., there’s no denying the standout pleasures this season. Most chefs love it, but the Wild Flor crew are particularly obsessive. Book now to join their first autumn/winter feast on 11 September – The Grouse Dinner. It’s a seriously special menu with wonderful paired wines from France (optional).

More good news! Wild Flor’s beloved Sunday Lunch Club is back on 21 September, while Poco’s excellent ‘bottomless’ roasts reappear from 28 September.

RB Diary

Team RB is currently trying to perfect the Grass Monkey challenge set by Trading Post Coffee for Organic September. It’s not for beginners (we are beginners), so… umm… we may be busy for a minute. The five bags of delicious organic coffee for the winning ‘art’ are worth some serious practice, though. Who’s got the chutzpah to take us on?

This weekend, we’re weighing up the Artwave Festival and lunch in Lewes, or Dogs and Sprogs at Hove Lagoon. Can’t quite decide on the right vibe…Also excited about The Pub at Rockwater opening next week.
