Hello Brighton, Hove and Sussex!
The sun’s been shining and seems keen to keep up the good work, which is simply marvellous. With Hannah and Jude away, the rest of us have been nibbling frozen fruit (healthy, delicious and cooling) or out and about sipping iced coffees and cold beer (not at the same time, you understand). |
This week we’re here to help you plan ahead for some Bank Holiday fun, indulge in a little Afternoon Tea Week deliciousness, and discover some new places to try. Let’s get on with it.
According to my sister-in-law, it’s Afternoon Tea Week every week – and I struggle to argue with her. From classic hotels with delicate china to quirky seaside twists, our Afternoon Tea guide will help you celebrate in style. Personally, I have a fondness for miniature savouries and multi-course sweet things, so I can be all too easily persuaded to indulge.

Brighton’s pulling out all the stops for the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend. Our Bank Holiday guide has the full list, but here are a few standouts:

On the blog, Jude shares the wonderful time she had at Woodfire Camping, who kicked off their FEAST season in style, collaborating with ROVI from the Ottolenghi Restaurant family. It looks and sounds amazing. Congratulations again to Stella and Griff for being brilliant hosts and creating another standout collaboration. |

And finally…
Congratulations to our £200 Restaurants Brighton voucher winner, Rebecca, who is (as you can imagine) very pleased – and planning to split her reward between Cin Cin and Wild Flor. Excellent choices, we think!
Thank you to everyone who entered and for being part of our growing foodie community. We absolutely love hearing from you.

With half of us on holiday, we may be hard-pushed to try everything we’d like, but here’s what’s caught our eye this week:
- Burger & Lobster – a National Burger Day offer worth skipping lunch for.
- The Fig Tree – a new menu making us want to book a Sussex countryside lunch ASAP.
- New venues – Brighton’s food scene is buzzing; we might have missed one (or three).
- The Mesmerist – still has the atmosphere that makes it a Brighton classic.
Yours, with sunglasses on,
Ivanka & Team RB |
