Hello Friends,
One of the things I love most about summer is that all the extra sunlight seems to open up time in the day and, with more time, it just seems to be so much easier to meet up with people. With 16 hours of daylight to play with, there is just more fun to be had.
So, here we are: summer is in full swing, school holidays are underway, and Spain won the World Cup. Football aside, our Spanish and Latin American friends apparently know a thing or two about eating, drinking, and partying but, from what I can see, Brighton and Sussex by the sea already know the score. |
Finding a venue that offers something for everyone isn't easy, but Amit is sold on Shelter Hall: “...the staff give every single diner a proper restaurant experience, with genuinely mind-blowing food spanning just about every style of cuisine across the globe, plus an array of drink options to accommodate all tastes.” Sounds good, doesn't it? |
Even with all that extra daylight and those summery vibes, sometimes you still need a proper reason to get out and about. We’ve rounded up a lovely list of local events to give you that little extra nudge. Here are just a few to get you started: |

We aren’t all natural ‘join-iners’. That’s totally cool. If however, you fancy joining in with some beach cleans and being rewarded with free ice-cream, we have a story you would like. Not convinced? Check it out anyway, it’s a good one: Matthew and the team at Sea Lanes have worked hard with Leave no Trace Brighton to make changes that just might help the beach stay a little more plastic free. |

Oh, and on the subject of ice cream. Our Instagram roundup of places to get ice cream prompted a few of you to join in via the comments so now we know about Maka Hove and Tutu Ice Cream. Anyone else we are missing? |
This week Jude has been doing a fair bit of out and abouting. Popping along to Preston Street to catch up with Brandon at The Big Bowl, and checking out new kids on the block Tamarind.
Emma, meanwhile, went along to TERRA to follow up on the beautiful photoshoot she did a couple of weeks ago. And Harvey made us all hungry with his reel from Lavash.
Me? Well, I went to a ‘cocktail party’ at a friend’s house yesterday evening. There was not a cocktail in sight and nobody cared. There was beer and wine, cheese, some new faces, and a lot of laughing and talking. If in doubt, go out.
Been up to anything nice?
Yours, with plenty of hugs,
Ivanka & Team RB
